January 28th is National Kazoo Day. It is something people of all ages can do. Playing is as simple as humming into the instrument.
The first kazoo was conceived in the 1840’s by Alabama Vest of Macon Georgia, and made by Thaddeus Von Clegg, a German clock master. It wasn’t until 1912 kazoos were commercial produced.
What do you do on National Kazoo day? Why, play the kazoo, of course. Can’t find one to purchase? Then make your own with a comb and paper or paper tube & wax paper. (The best part of the tube one is you can be creative and decorate it!) So join in the fun!
