Meet JoAnn Jordan
I am a board certified music therapist. I founded Musical Gems, a contract music therapy service, to provide programs for groups and individuals looking to improve the quality of their lives using music.
With over the past 25 years as a music therapist, I have led drum circles and provided music & imagery sessions to adults in a variety of settings. My presentations include “Working with Music” in May 2010 for AHEC Northwest, Drum Circles at the “Full Circle …An Aging Expo” in September 2008 and A Musical Approach to Children” for the NW Kansas Child Care Resource & Referral Agency.
In addition to my work with Music Gems, I provide music therapy sessions for older adults and young children through Music Sparks. To learn more about these serves visit Music Sparks.
I am a graduate of the University of Kansas (Rock Chalk Jayhawk) with a degree in Music Therapy. I live in Hays, KS with my husband, daughter, and dogs. For fun, I try my hand at gardening and home decorating.
